Zlatibor’s “Gold Gondola” will be put into operation on Monday, January 11th, while the grand opening will be on Thursday, January 14th, it is stated in the announcement of the municipality of Čajetina. After five years from the beginning of works, one of the most important capital investments of the municipality of Čajetina, will receive the first passengers, which is a great day not only for Zlatibor and that municipality, but also for the whole Serbia, it is stated in the announcement.
“Thanks to the gondola, the number of tourists on Zlatibor will increase, and our goal is to record one million visitors in a period of five years, which automatically means ten million nights, and that is extra profit for the residents of Zlatibor, for investors, and of course for the budget of Republic Serbia and the budget of the municipality of Čajetina as well”, concluded Stamatović.
The announcement states that the price list of “Gold gondola” services was adopted in the past few days, where special care was taken that, although the gondola must operate on a commercial principle, ticket prices will still be acceptable to everyone’s pocket.
The price of a ticket for round trip to Tornik for adults will be 1,000.00 RSD, while a children’s ticket will cost 550.00 RSD, and children up to the age of six will have the right to a free ride accompanied by at least one adult.
