Novak Djokovic opened a kindergarten in the Zlatibor village of Ljubis

The Novak Djokovic Foundation successfully realized another donor campaign where funds were collected for the construction, reconstruction and equipping of the kindergarten in the Zlatibor village of Ljubis. On May 19th, 2021, a kindergarten was opened, while this event was especially magnified by the presence of the founder of the foundation, as well as our most famous tennis player, Novak Djokovic.

Along with Novak, his wife Jelena Djokovic was at the opening of the kindergarten, as well as Maja Kremic, the director of the Foundation. The opening of the kindergarten was attended by the president of the municipality of Cajetina, Milan Stamatović, who awarded the best tennis player in the world with a special recognition as a sign of gratitude for the support in the development of Zlatibor’s villages. The opening of the kindergarten was magnified by Ljubivoje Ršumović, our famous children’s poet. Ljubiš is the birthplace of the great poet, so the newly opened kindergarten proudly took his name.

The opening of the kindergarten enables the children of this region to have access to quality early education and to grow up in a safe and stimulating environment, to socialize and spend time playing and learning with their peers.
